Retirement in 2021
I am writing to you today to let you know that Lynn and I are retiring this year. We are not, however, retiring from church life. We see a window of opportunity in this season of life to serve the Lord as missionaries in Latin America. Lynn will be teaching English, and I will be teaching bible at Sojourn Academy in San Jose Costa Rica this school year. Lynn and I went on an exploration trip to Costa Rica over the Memorial Day weekend. We want to thank Risen Hope Church and others who supported us in this first leg of our journey. We felt that you were with us as we traveled from place to place. On the first day of our three day trip, we visited Pastor Rodrigo Fournier’s church, La Vina. The worship at their socially distant service was amazing. Lynn and I are still learning Spanish so we did not understand much, but we could feel God’s presence as we sang the Spanish lyrics from the projected words.
