  Pura Vida, The Pure and Simple Life of Costa Rica   Missionaries Families Sent   This month, the Language Training portion of our school (ILE) sent out three missionary families to Peru and Nicaragua.  What a joy to see them complete their Spanish course work confident that they will take the good news of the gospel to other countries! Our Peruvian families will serve in a city and the indiginous areas of Peru, and the other family is going as engineers to Nicaragua to be tentmakers in a countrry filled with political change. Please pray for these families.  Christmas "W"rap   My 10th grade students and I were able to create and perform a Christmas rap from Luke, chapter 2.   Pura Vida! The simple and pure life of Costa Rica At our School   This month was mission month at our school. Here is a picture of one of the our chapel meetings where our missionaries being deployed to Peru are featured. We were able to share hospitality with the Robb family (in the center of photo), and we enjoyed playing Code Names together in Spanish. I am writing to you today to let you know that Lynn and I are retiring this year. We are not, however, retiring from church life. We see a window of opportunity in this season of life to serve the Lord as missionaries in Latin America. Lynn will be teaching English, and I will be teaching bible at Sojourn Academy in San Jose Costa Rica this school year. Lynn and I went on an exploration trip to Costa Rica over the Memorial Day weekend. We want to thank Risen Hope Church and others who supported us in this first leg of our journey. We felt that you were with us as we traveled from place to place. On the first day of our three day trip,  we visited Pastor Rodrigo Fournier’s church, La Vina. The worship at their socially distant service was amazing. Lynn and I are still learning Spanish so we did not understand much, but we could feel God’s presence as we sang the Spanish lyrics from the projected words.
